Have you ever wondered what new development projects could be coming to Holly Springs? Have you seen a public hearing sign and wondered what is being proposed…or driven past a construction site and wondered what is being built? The Town has launched a newly reimagined and upgraded interactive tool that provides an array of development activity information!
Visit hollyspringsnc.gov/devmap to view the new Interactive Development Map and project listing. The online tool provides information about projects being reviewed and considered for development and the status of approved projects.
“The new Interactive Development Map provides a greatly improved resource for viewing a treasure trove of information about projects,” said Candace Alford, Holly Springs GIS Manager. “The map shows projects that are being proposed by developers and have yet to be approved or denied by the Town, as well as projects that have been approved.”
Select the green “View Map” button or the Interactive Development Map header to be taken to a page that displays a map of Holly Springs showing properties with recent or proposed development activity. Click on a property to view details about the project and a link to documentation, such as the site plan for the development. Buttons at the top of the map allow users to filter what types of development activity are displayed.
A key feature is the listing of projects in different stages of the development process:
Proposed: Projects that are in review and may be approved or denied.
Approved: Projects that have been approved for development but are pending civil construction drawing approval and building permits.
Under Construction: Projects that have received all the approvals needed from the Town to begin construction. These projects are either actively under construction or are awaiting the project developer to begin construction.
Select a project from the listing to view a map showing the project site, a link to the project on the interactive map for a broader view, project documents, and more. The listing also shows recent changes to the online tool, making finding updates even easier for viewers.
