Here Comes Fresh Market!
All indicators show that Fresh Market is coming to Holly Springs. Although they are being tight-lipped about it at corporate, we know it’s coming.
Fresh Market is a Greensboro based company, that now has 176 stores. They pride themselves on working with local suppliers and growers when they can, rather than importing food that can be found locally.
Their website reads, “Back in 1982, our founders decided to open a store that was different from the giant industrialized grocery stores of the time. They wanted to open a smaller store that focused on the customer and the shopping experience. They wanted to create an open-air market with old-world charm, stocked with fresh meats, seafood, fruits, and vegetables. They wanted the store to be a fresh concept in grocery shopping.”

Holly Springs Surgery Center
Holly Springs residents who are facing outpatient surgery will have a choice in where they receive care in the very near future. Under construction is a brand new, state of the art ambulatory surgery center on Village Walk Drive off Ralph Stevens Rd near Route 55. The construction is scheduled to be completed in November and staff will move in and begin preparing for patient visits to start in mid-January. The center is the result of a group of local surgeons seeing the need for a local, easily accessed outpatient surgery center project available to Holly Springs and the surrounding communities.
The goal of any outpatient surgical visit is to provide the patient with a comfortable environment that focuses on their safety, supports the surgeon with the newest equipment and experienced staff and results in a successful surgical outcome. Patients appreciate being able to recover in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by family and friends and feel positively about their surgical experience.
Physicians who are credentialed at the center are planning on scheduling elective surgeries such as knee arthroscopy, cataract removal, cervical disc removal, pain injections, carpal tunnel repair, bladder procedures and shoulder repair as well as a host of similar procedures. The initial emphasis on orthopedics, urology, spine and ophthalmology has brought some of the premier local specialty surgeons to the center. The new Holly Springs Surgery Center will be a welcome addition to the local medical services offered with the express purpose of meeting the surgical needs of this vibrant and growing community.
