Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce and Paramount Rx partner with local businesses to provide residents with valuable costs savings on medications
In an effort to provide the local community with more affordable access to health care, the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Paramount Rx, a locally headquartered-prescription benefits management company, and local businesses to offer free prescription discount cards to area residents.
As medical costs remain high, the prescription discount card program provides valuable costs savings to folks in the Holly Springs region through Paramount Rx’s national network of over 54,000 participating pharmacies. Card users can simply present their discount card to a participating pharmacy each time they fill a prescription and receive up to 70 percent on generic drugs and 20 percent on brand-name drugs.
“We are excited to partner with Paramount Rx, area businesses and residents to show our support for the local community,” said LeeAnn Plumer, executive director of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce. “When it comes to health care costs, every little bit counts and this is program is a great way for folks to save money on prescriptions that can be a financial strain.”
Local businesses and other area organizations are encouraged to share the free prescription discount cards with their employees and customers. Businesses and residents can use the program website to print a discount card online, or pick them up at the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce located at 344 Raleigh Street, Suite 100 in Holly Springs.
“This program was established to address the escalating costs of prescription medications and help ease the burden for local residents,” said Michael Sallusto, executive vice president of Paramount Rx. “We value this opportunity to bring the community together and provide resources that offer more access to affordable health care.”
Paramount Rx also provides online tools to help locate a participating pharmacy, research drug pricing and availability, including generic alternatives and access mail order services. Paramount Rx discount cards are often utilized by users with existing prescription insurance to ensure the lowest price available for their medications. Participants are encouraged to use a best practices approach when filling their prescriptions, checking the price through their insurance first and then comparing it to their discount card rate. Additionally, if the pharmacy cash price is lower than the prescription discount card rate, Paramount Rx ensures customers will always receive the best rate available through its program.
