1432 Avent Ferry Road
The town council has approved a rezoning request for about 40 acres of forest at 1432 Avent Ferry Road. Now zoned for residential mixed-use, the property will be developed for a 55+ community. Plans include 83 single-family homes ranging from the mid $500,000s to mid $600,000s, with 2.5 to 3.5 bedrooms and some with bonus rooms, as well as 24 townhomes featuring main-level living and first-floor masters, priced from the high $400,000s. Amenities will include a community swimming pool, pickleball courts, clubhouse with fitness and conference rooms, greenway trails, and a labyrinth garden. Construction is expected to begin in July 2026.

A master subdivision plan has been submitted for 57 acres at Avent Ferry Road and Rex Road. Plans call for 279 units consisting of townhomes and quadraplexes, park space, pedestrian trails, and a commercial outparcel.

A major subdivision plan has been submitted for M/I Homes to build 165 units (87 attached and 65 detached dwellings) on 53 acres. The property sits between Cass Holt Road, and Honeycutt Farms.

Wing Stop is under construction in the Walmart shopping plaza at the Shoppes of Holly Springs. The closest locations from Holly Springs currently are on Fayetteville Road near 1010, and one in Cary. The menu consists of wings, chicken sandwiches, fries and fried corn. Wing Stop offers a variety of flavors and rubs for their wings.

Plans are moving forward to develop Overlook on Main about a mile from downtown.
