Pumpkin Spice Keepsake Ornament
What you’ll need:
½ Cup Salt
½ Cup Flour
1 Tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
¼ Cup Water (give or take)
Fall Leaves
Parchment Paper
Drinking Glass
Wooden Skewer
Ribbon or Twine
Food Coloring
Paint Brush
Directions:
Mix the salt, flour, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl. Gradually add the water and knead until it resembles dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up the dough, then roll it out on a floured surface to about ¼” thickness. Use the drinking glass to cut out circles, placing them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Press a leaf into each circle to make an impression. Use the wooden skewer to outline each leaf to your liking. You can also use the skewer to make a decorative edge around the ornament, or you can use your child’s fingerprints. Make a hole at the top of the ornament with your skewer for hanging. Once you’ve made your impressions, mix food coloring with some water to paint each leaf. Bake in a 200-degree oven for 3 hours, and then add ribbon or twine to hang your sweet-smelling creation.

Mason Jar Pumpkin
What you’ll need:
Mason Jar with Lid
Stick, 1” long & 1” in diameter
Raffia
Paintbrushes
Hot Glue Gun
Orange Craft Paint
Green Craft Paint
Battery-Operated Tea Light
Directions:
Lightly paint the inside of your mason jar with orange craft paint. Make sure it’s translucent, not opaque, so the light of the tea light will shine through. Hot glue the stick to the top of the lid to resemble a pumpkin stem. Paint the lid green, then let dry, and tie raffia around the stem. You can paint green vines, polka dots, or a jack-o-lantern face on the outside, or just leave your pumpkin plain. Drop a battery-operated tea light into the jar, screw on the lid, and enjoy the safe, soft ambiance of your new country craft.

Yarn-Wrapped Candy Corn & Cozy Pinecones
What you’ll need:
Foam Cones in Varying Sizes
Cheap White, Yellow, & Orange Yarn
Higher Quality Yarn in Varying Shades
Glue
Pinecones
Directions:
Starting at the bottom, glue the end of the yellow yarn underneath then wrap around the cone until you’re one-third of the way up. Then glue the other end of the yellow yarn down and repeat the process with the orange yarn, and then the white yarn, until you reach the top of your cone. Create a festive display with cones of varying heights on your mantle, or as a centerpiece with real candy corn scattered about—great for a kids’ table. And while they’re at it, keep those little hands busy wrapping yarn around pinecones they’ve collected on their outdoor adventures. After all, even pinecones like to feel cozy from time to time.
