The Holly Springs High School women’s golf team had a successful season finishing third in the South Wake Athletic Conference through the leadership of senior captains Kelsey Jones, Jean Reese, and Lydia Kisner. Seniors Ele Bryan, Maya Caldwell, Molly Lincoln, Kathryn McGahey, and MacKenzie Williams helped the team grow and improve throughout the season. This improvement was evident in the play of juniors Campbell Meumann and Jordan Semler along with sophomore Natalie Sosa and freshmen Elle Devens and Morgan Dixon. Junior Carson Price along with seniors Kelsey Jones, Kathryn McGahey, Jean Reese, and Lydia Kisner qualified for the Central Regional Tournament in Southern Pines where they finished in the top ten as a team and Keley Jones qualified for the state championship. Kathryn McGahey was named the team’s Golden Hawk award winner for her hard work and dedication to the team over the past four seasons. Kelsey Jones was the team’s most outstanding player award winner after earning first team all-conference and the SWAC player of the year award.
