COACH ROBIN RIZZO
Now that football season has ended, we enter basketball season. In addition to the sidelines, these student athletes also have competitions. Varsity competed in three competitions. They came in third place at regionals, second place at the SWAC competition, and first at the state meet — the final competition of the season. Junior varsity placed third at the state competition, their only meet of the season. This win for varsity made it their second year in a row being NC state champs in their division. I’m very proud of both of the teams! The road to get here is very long and tiring, but it is well worth it! With long days and late nights cheering on our football and basketball teams after a full day of school and practice, they put on a uniform and cheer their hearts out! With the help of my two amazing coaches, Doug Palmer and Dawn Hill, we have enjoyed many laughs, inspiring chats, some tears and fun making great memories!
