If you ever leave the confines of your own home, you may have noticed that there is a bit of construction going on around town. As always, our goal to try to make some sense of what’s new and what’s coming. We’re going to start with the one thing that so many seem opposed to – more homes.
Like it or not, we’ve built a great community, and people that come visit Holly Springs, want to be a part of it. We all know that if you plan to sell your home, be ready to move before you list it. It’s a hot market right now, and builders know that.
Here’s a little bit of what’s coming from a housing standpoint. In the lot listings, some of these lots already have homes built on them, and people living there. With that said, not ALL the lots listed represent new people moving to the area. The big questions are where are the new subdivisions, how many lots do they have, and how will impact traffic. Team Anderson Realty & Anderson Chiropractic
Team Anderson Realty and Anderson Chiropractic are moving to the corner of Holly Springs Rd. and Main Street, just behind Rite Aid.
They have big plans for the property.
The Team Anderson renovation is almost finished, and it was a rebuild of the existing building just south of the Rite Aid on the corner.
Anderson Chiropractic has started construction of their new building, and they are hoping to be open in July.
Flour Power
Flour Power is coming to Holly Springs Towne Center! This is the fifth studio in the area, and the first for Holly Springs. The studio is scheduled to open June 26. Flour Power Holly Springs will host summer camps, track out camps, birthday parties, weekly cooking classes from ages 2.5 to teens, an etiquette series and corporate and adult events. In addition to regular cooking activities, the studio will host special needs classes once a month, free to the community. Flour Power originally started in Raleigh in 2009 and has expanded throughout North Carolina since that time. It is the leader of Culinary Education for Children in North Carolina with its hands-on approach to teaching children not only about food, but food culture and from where food comes. Feast Casual Fine Dining
You may or may not know that Little Hen is no longer in Holly Springs. Little Hen closed on February 18th.
They say “When one door closes, another opens.” Enter Feast – the new concept restaurant that will soon occupy the empty space that Little Hen left behind.
The local owners of Feast are bringing the passion that they share with Earnest Hemingway for Paris, to your table at their new restaurant in Holly Springs. Their goal is to take you on a journey without having to leave Holly Springs, as they share their memories through their food, wine and service.
Feast will serve classic recipes, with a modern twist. Menu items will include a mix of Spanish, Cuban, Italian, French and of course American concepts. Ingredients will be as local as possible and as fresh as they can get.
Many of the dishes are inspired by Hemingway’s ‘A Movable Feast.’ Oysters, Trout and Beef Tournados with Bernaise sauce and Pommes Frites are among the offerings.
Feast will have a full bar and the design will be themed after 1920’s expat Americans in Paris. Feast will serve classic and modern cocktails alike, including Hemingway’s famous Daiquiri and Bloody Mary.
Hickory Tavern
Hickory Tavern is slated to open in Holly Springs on May 3rd. Holly Springs marks their 27th location. Although the menu was not available at press time, we took a look at one of their other locations to get an idea of what will be available. There was a lot of the typical items like wings and burgers, but it looks like you’ll also find some fare that you won’t find at a typical tavern. Filet Minion, Delmonicos and crab legs are all on the menu. An array of salads, sandwiches and tacos are also on the menu. They offer a full bar, more TVs than you can count on two hands, and a kids menu.
There’s ample outdoor seating between the restaurant and Village Walk Drive. Outdoor seating offers more TVs, and a fire feature at one end.
Hickory Tavern will not occupy the full space. There are three other spaces in the building for other tenants, one of which has already been confirmed to be Firehouse Subs.
Cary Orthopaedics
Opening soon at Village Walk, Cary Orthopaedics will be offering comprehensive services to address bone and joint pain or dysfunction caused by musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries and degenerative conditions.
Their typical patient suffers from pain or injury in the wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle or spine.
This is the fourth location for Cary Orthopaedics, with two other locations in Cary, and one in Raleigh.
They are connected to the new Surgery Center, and will be performing outpatient surgeries here in Holly Springs, making it a little easier for those needing procedures.
