Turtle Fest

Come enjoy interactive exhibits and meet biologists, herpetologists, and wildlife rehabilitators. Make crafts, play games and win prizes all at beautiful Bass Lake Park. And don’t forget to check out the live animals!
Community Free Yoga Event

Come relax and unwind with this free yoga event. Open to everyone but geared toward adults.
Explore-A-Story (Preschool Ages)

Explore-A-Story combines two kid favorites, story time and nature. Enjoy nature crafts, walks (weather permitting) and story time all at Bass Lake. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Discover Nature (Ages 4-6)
May 8 and August 14 | 10:00am-11:00am @ Bass Lake Park
Have fun with age-appropriate activities and games, each working with different aspects of nature. Pre-registration is required.
Discover Backpack Program (All Ages)
Year Round @ Bass Lake Park
Explore nature, learn bird calls, study insects, discover animals in the lake and so much more! Backpacks can be checked out for free for those who want to practice journaling. Packs are filled with games, tools and books for use in the park.

If indoor air conditioned activities are more your style, check out the G and PG rated movies being shown most Mondays at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. The atmosphere is kid friendly and has brighter house lights and lower sound levels for little ears.

Picnic in the Park
Pack some sandwiches and snacks and head to Jones Park and enjoy their covered picnic area.
Friendly Competition
Strap on some fit bits and see who can get the most steps in one day! Try walking some of the trails around Bass lake or Parrish Womble Park.
Star Gazing
Grab some blankets and wait for dark. Check out the stars and see how many constellations you can name.
No Pool? No Problem
Hook up a sprinkler in your front or back yard and have a blast! Or fill some super soaker water guns and have an epic water battle. Water balloons are also a great idea for cooling off!
