We work hard to bring you news on what’s coming and what’s new in Holly Springs. Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. We pass information along as we get it, and often plans change. What was once to be a Fresh Market, has been divided to host Planet Fitness and other businesses.
We thought it would be a good idea to revisit some of the “What’s Coming” announcements that ended up with timelines other than the ones we printed, and report back to you. Here’s what we’ve learned:
Peterson Station:
Peterson Station is hoping to start construction at the end of 3rd quarter or beginning of 4th quarter this year. This will be 310 Class-A apartments, clubhouse, pool, and 42,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and office space, with an opportunity for rooftop dining as well.
Sheetz:
To those that live down Avent Ferry Rd., the Sheetz has been a long time coming. The project was delayed due to some drainage work that had to be done in connection with the Morgan Park subdivision. Ground has been broken, and they hope to be done by the end of 2018, weather permitting.
Thales Academy – Holly Springs:
Thales Academy is currently enrolling PreK-Grade 5 students. The students are being temporarily housed at the Thales junior high/high school facility in Apex. Students will move to the Holly Springs facility after Christmas break. The new building will open January 7, 2019.
Pimiento Tea Room:
The Tea Room was recently approved by the town council (at the 7/17 meeting) and they are working to close financing now. Once that’s done, they’ll be ready to provide an update and schedule.
Our Moments in Time:
The shop on Main Street is hoping to open in September or October. They currently have 13 artisans who will be part of the store and a local coffee roaster is putting in a coffee bar and plans to sell fresh, self-serve coffee.
Meineke Car Care Center:
The Meineke Car Care Center is moving along on their schedule, and they are set to have their grand opening in November of this year.
