New Movie Theater comes to Holly Springs
Announced on February 5th, the council in Holly Springs approved revised building elevations for the theater complex proposed in Phase II of Holly Spring Towne Center off N.C. 55. The building will offer nine dine-in theaters of varying sizes, seating between 66 and 251 people each.
The applicant described the development as “not your traditional theater.” He said, after entering, visitors will see the indoor service counter to the right where customers buy tickets and a bar with a sitting area to the left. Inside the theaters, 6.5-foot aisles would have large recliners. Visitors can order meals and eat in the theaters, and meals are delivered before movies begin. But visitors don’t have to eat dinner to see a movie, he said. Construction is expected to last about a year.
The group originally penned to open the theater/bowling alley there had to pull out of the project. When they pulled out, Carmine cinemas stepped in.
