The Holly Springs varsity volleyball team had a great 2024 season. Our overall record was 16-7, but unfortunately, we lost in the first round of the state playoffs against Apex Friendship. This is despite beating them twice during the regular season (ouch). Our conference is one of the best in the state, but we managed to place fourth in conference during the regular season.
Senior Juliana Donato was one of our top setters who committed to Lenior Rhyne to play volleyball next season. Adlee Grissett, our senior libero, committed to Davison to play college volleyball as well. They were both team captains and led our team with vigor and passion all season long. They’ll be missed greatly next season.
Grace Brewington (junior) finished the season ranked as the second best outside hitter in the conference with 300 kills, and ranked third in the conference in service aces (47 aces). Madison Pare finished second in the conference in service aces (49 aces) and 173 assists. Ashley Diebler led our team with 282 total assists for the season. Libero Adlee Grissett was ranked first in the conference in digs (321 digs). Setter Juliana Donato led in four different stat categories prior to tearing her ACL with six games left in the season. Head JV coach Zachary Zachilli and assistant coach Joe Behr were also a huge part of our team’s success.
