The Holly Springs Rotary Club is part of District 7710. When COVID-19 started to affect the local residents, the District rolled into action.
Supplies were delivered to first responders, assisted-living facilities and medical facilities that were all within the District. These deliveries included 1,880 custom-made cloth masks with the Rotary logo on them, as well as 11,750 latex gloves and 300 gallons of hand sanitizer.
In addition to personal protection items, the District provided more than 42,000 servings of rice to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and they handed the Food Bank a check for over $1,200.
The Lions Club worked with the Western Wake Crisis Ministry and food pantries in Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina to provide drop-off food drives and food distribution.
Please consider being part of one of the local organizations in Holly Springs. They are always looking for new members. These organizations are comprised of your friends and neighbors, and their mission is to help the community.
Most clubs meet once a week – or less. You can visit any of the clubs without membership to see if it’s a good fit for you.
