Thanksgiving Holiday Hunger Relief – Public Safety Cadets
Join the Holly Springs Police Public Safety Cadets in a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Through the week before Thanksgiving, drop off non-perishable food donations such as canned goods, cereal, and baby products at the Law Enforcement Center at 750 Holly Springs Road. The cadets will transfer all donations to the Cupboard for distribution to local families facing food insecurity.
Holly Springs PD Angel Tree / Public Safety Cadet Toy Drive
Through Mid-December
Interested in gathering gifts for a child from a local family in need? Every year, Holly Springs school resource officers identify children who could benefit from a boost of holiday cheer. Stop by the Law Enforcement Center to select a tag off the Angel Tree or to drop off new, unwrapped toys to supplement the Angel Tree donations. Return all donations by mid-December to allow officers time to wrap gifts.
Shop with a Cop
Through December 13
A highlight of the holiday season is the annual Holly Springs Police “Shop with a Cop” event. Every year, Holly Springs police and school resource officers identify about 10 children. Each child is paired with an officer to shop for holiday presents for themselves and their families. Police officers wrap the gifts and deliver them to the child’s home closer to the Christmas holiday. This year’s shopping event will be held at Target. Monetary donations are being accepted at the Law Enforcement Center through December 13. Drop by the police station or email mike.patterson@hollyspringsnc.gov for more information.
