The Town of Holly Springs is gearing up for another wonderful year in 2023. Don’t miss out on exciting news and events or ways to get involved and stay connected to your community throughout the year.
“There is always something new going on in Holly Springs and we want everyone to be informed about the events and activities that interest them the most,” said Cassie Hack, director of Holly Springs Communications and Marketing. “Whether you want to view an Instagram reel, get an e-newsletter directly to your inbox, watch a live-stream of a Town Council meeting or read a paper copy of The Source newsletter with your utility bill, we know there isn’t a one-size-fits-all source of information, so we provide a variety of options to choose from.”
Here are the top three ways you can stay connected to your community in 2023:
Subscribe to receive the Town’s e-newsletter
Sign up to receive the Town’s e-newsletter by email or text at www.hollyspringsnc.gov/signup.
The NewsFlash is sent to subscribers twice a month. It includes the latest news on town projects, Town Council decisions, and public surveys, as well as upcoming events and meetings.
“We know everyone is short on time, and we debuted the NewsFlash a few months ago to give residents a visually appealing e-newsletter that is jam-packed with news,” said Hack. “You can choose to just peruse the headlines or click on the article to read in-depth content.”
Town news also is included in the monthly print newsletter, which is mailed to utility customers who receive paper bills. If you receive an electronic bill from the Town, click the link in your ebill to read the monthly newsletter online.
Follow the Town on social media
Follow the Town of Holly Springs on your favorite social media platform! Find Holly Springs on Facebook at @HollySpringsGov, and on Instagram and Twitter at @ToHollySprings. The Town also is on Nextdoor at www.hollyspringsnc.gov/nextdoor.
“Developing events and breaking news are shared in real time on our social media platforms,” Hack said. “Our ever-growing number of followers really benefit from the information, while the platforms also let us share fun and creative photos and videos of Town!”
Engage with your Town
The Town offers many ways not just to receive information but to share your feedback and make a difference in your community. Community members are welcome to attend public meetings, which include regularly scheduled meetings such as those of the Holly Springs Town Council. Throughout the year, additional meetings are scheduled on specific topics, such as the Town’s current initiative to update a plan to guide development in Downtown Holly Springs into the future.
Information about upcoming meetings is shared in the e-newsletter and also can be found in the calendar section of the Town’s website at www.hollyspringsnc.gov.
