Meineke Car Care Center
The lot between Advance Auto Parts and O’Reilly Auto Parts is getting a new resident. Meineke has been approved to build on that parcel. The strip of road between Cayman Avenue and Steedmont Dr. on Holly Springs Rd. is now officially the best place to have car problems in Holly Springs. In a 1,000-foot run, there’s Gerber Collision, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Advance Auto Parts, Fast Lube Plus, Just Tires, Splash N Dash Car Wash, and soon to be Meineke. If you’re over 40 years old, you may still think that Meineke is a muffler shop. They are now full service offering oil changes, brakes, tires, A/C service, steering and suspension, and yes – mufflers.

Firehouse Subs
At the other end of Hickory Tavern located in South Park Village, you’ll find Firehouse Subs under
construction and nearing completion. Firehouse falls into a restaurant category called “Fast Casual.” Firehouse is a sub shop. There are nuances that make this shop different than the competitors. The sandwiches are made from hot meat, rather than made with cold meat, then heated. Their tag line is that it was started by firefighters, which is true. They also donate a portion of each purchase to their Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders. In 2017, .13 percent of your purchase goes to the foundation. Since starting the foundation, they have give over $25 million to provide equipment, training, and support to local firefighters.

Panera has locations in Beaver Creek Commons in Apex, and three locations in Cary. Panera started in 1987 in Kirkwood, MO. Ten years ago, then chose to remove all artificial trans fats from their menu, securing a reputation as one on the healthier restaurants on the circuit. In January of 2017, they announced that all of their food was free of artificial preservatives, sweeteners, flavors and colors.
