Despite chilly winter weather, the Holly Springs Cultural Center is heating up its 2026 calendar, rolling out a slate of upcoming performances sure to keep you laughing and tapping your toes to the beat well into Spring! The new year kicks off with a group art exhibition celebrating the creativity of Black visual artists, opening on January 5. The entire community is invited to commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend through a memorial walk organized by the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee. Learn more at hsmlk.org. Black History month will close out on February 27 with Black Expressions, a free evening of music, dance, and spoken word performances hosted by comedian and historian Byron Johnson.

Friday-Sunday, February 20-22: Southern Wake Players Community Theater presents the beloved musical “Little Women,” based on Louisa May Alcott’s cherished novel. This semi-autobiographical story follows the four March sisters during the Civil War era in a touching portrayal of sisterhood, aspiration, and romance. Directed by Bonnie Webster with music direction by Craig Johnson, the production runs for three performances. Friday, March 27: Jordan Centry takes the microphone. Fresh off the Black Power Rangers Comedy Tour and voted Best Charlotte Comedian by Queen City Nerve, Centry’s intelligent, silly, and charming Southern style is guaranteed to leave audiences in stitches. These nights of clean fun are perfect for a hilarious night out.
The Cultural Center also showcases local talent through community concerts. Audiences can enjoy performances by the Community Band and the Route 55 Jazz Orchestra, bringing authentic Big Band jazz and orchestral music to the stage in the tradition of Basie, Kenton, and Miller.

Saturday, April 11: Petty Rewind: A Tribute to Tom Petty, celebrating the music and legacy of one of America’s most enduring rock icons.
